Please Stop Me From Buying Any More Video Games

After buying a PlayStation 4 in February last year I developed a little bit of a bad habit. I bought soooo many games in 2015, a lot more than what I could put my effort into, which I knew at the time as well. This has put me into a sticky situation, since I have t-minus 11 weeks until Dark Souls III releases in April.
Here’s the list of games I’ve started / currently playing, that I still have yet to finish:
PS4
Guacamelee (co-op with AlexJaq)Did not finish, but I'm finished with it!- Bloodborne – The Old Hunters DLC
- Fallout 4
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
- *Star Wars: Battlefront
- Diablo III: Reaper of Souls (co-op with AlexJaq)
Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First SinDid not finish, traded in. Disappointed.- *The Elder Scrolls Online
Xbox One
Tomb RaiderIt was exceptionalHalo The Master Chief Collection – Halo 4
PC
- Fez
- Undertale
- Age of Empires II: HD Edition
- *Blade & Soul
3DS
- Pokemon Alpha Sapphire
- The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
* Games that don’t exactly have an “ending”.
Now in my opinion, this is a hefty list on its own. However, those games are only the ones that I have started or am currently playing at the time of writing this. Good news: I plan to cross off Guacamelee and Tomb Raider within the next week or two. Bad news:
Here’s the list of games that I own and definitely plan on playing:
PS4
- Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor GOTY Edition
- Child of Light
- Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris
- Super Meat Boy
- Magicka 2
- Grim Fandango
- Never Alone
- Final Fantasy Type-0
Xbox One
- Halo 5: Guardians
- Dragon Age: Inquisition
- Sunset Overdrive
PC
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
- Don’t Starve
- The Floor is Jelly
- Borderlands 2
- The Last Remnant
- Murdered: Soul Suspect
- Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee
- Yosumin!
I am sad to say I went a little nuts during the last Steam winter sale. I haven’t even listed half the games I acquired in my Steam library through various medias. Those of course are last resort boredom remedies. I also haven’t mentioned my old games that I need to go back to like Skyrim and Ni no Kuni on PS3, but also old old games on the original Xbox and Nintendo 64. Help!
As a sort of new years resolution for myself, I’ve decided to not buy a game until Dark Souls III in April. So lets see how many I can cross off my list (mainly the first list) until then. I plan to post my thoughts on each game I finish so I’ll make sure to update this post once they are up.
Can anybody beat my list? I’m sure you can, it’s probably not as bad as I think.
P.S. I’ve already failed the resolution. I bought the first Top Spin game on Xbox for $5 in spirit of the Australian Open and Hewitt’s last matches. Whoops.
